WellOff Privacy Policy
SwiftTech Health Inc.
Last Updated: June 28, 2026
1. Who We Are and What This Policy Covers
WellOff is operated by SwiftTech Health Inc. (“WellOff,” “we,” “us,” or “our”), a Delaware corporation based in Oakland, California. WellOff is a wellness self-tracking application that helps you record and review your own information over time — such as symptoms, mood, medication and doses, and other customized health factors (e.g., sleep, exercise, diet) — including experiences related to changes in medication. You can log by text or tap, or by voice using optional AI-assisted features, view charts and calculations based on the data you enter, connect with a chosen peer (“buddy”) for support, and access wellness content and resources.
WellOff is a wellness product. The Company is not a “covered entity” or “business associate” under the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act of 1996 (“HIPAA”). Health information you provide through the Service is not “protected health information” (PHI) subject to HIPAA, and is governed by this Privacy Policy and applicable consumer-health-data laws. You should not use the Service to store or transmit information that you believe requires HIPAA-level protection. WellOff does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment, and is not a substitute for care from a qualified clinician.
This Policy applies to our websites welloff.health and swifttechhealth.com, our application available at swifttechhealth.vercel.app, and related services (collectively, the “Service”). It explains what we collect, why, who we share it with, and the rights and choices you have.
Companion documents. Certain consumer health data is also covered by our separate Consumer Health Data Privacy Notice, which addresses requirements under U.S. state consumer-health-data laws such as the Washington My Health My Data Act and similar laws. Research uses of data are governed by a separate Research Participation Consent. Your use of the Service is also subject to our Terms of Service. Where this Policy and the Consumer Health Data Privacy Notice both apply to the same data, the more protective provision controls.
2. Children and Minimum Age
WellOff is intended only for users in the United States who are 18 years of age or older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe someone under 18 has provided us information, contact us at hello@welloff.health and we will take steps to remove that information from our servers.
3. Information We Collect
We collect the following categories of information, depending on how you use the Service.
3.1 Information You Provide Directly
Account and contact information.
• Email address (for the waitlist and for account creation and authentication).
• Profile details you choose to add, including any display name and buddy-profile information.
Health and wellness information you enter.
This may include:
• Medication, dose, and history of changes to your medication.
• Self-reported symptoms and mood.
• Sleep, exercise, diet, and other customized health and lifestyle factors.
• Reproductive, menstrual, and pregnancy-related information.
• Free-text journal entries, which may contain any information you include.
• Voice recordings, when you use voice check-in or voice features.
• Photos you upload, including photos of prior paper or app logs (which may incidentally contain prescriber or pharmacy information) and food photos.
• Buddy-system information you choose to share when you connect with a peer, which may include your gender, age, zip code or major city, medication, taper stage, and an open-text bio.
• The content of messages you send to a connected peer through the buddy system, which you may use to discuss symptoms, medication, or other information.
• Free text you submit in a feedback or error report, which may contain any information you choose to include.
Free-text and voice content. In journal entries, voice features, and other free-text fields, you decide what to share. That content is provided at your own initiative.
3.2 Information Collected Automatically
• Device and usage data such as app interactions, feature usage, approximate region derived from IP address, browser/device type, and diagnostic logs.
• Analytics identifiers associated with your account (see Section 5).
• Push notification identifier, a device-specific identifier we store if you enable push notifications, used to deliver them (see Section 9).
• Cookies and similar technologies on our websites (see Section 7). The WellOff application itself does not run third-party advertising cookies or pixels.
We collect this information directly from you and automatically as you use the Service. We do not purchase personal information about you, and we do not obtain it from data brokers.
4. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:
• Provide, operate, secure, and improve the Service.
• Create and authenticate your account and enable features you choose, such as tracking, journaling, the buddy system, and AI-assisted logging.
• Transcribe voice input, generate audio responses, and assist with logging through our AI sub-processors (see Section 6).
• Communicate with you, including waitlist updates, service and security notices, and — where permitted — marketing about WellOff.
• Understand product usage through analytics so we can improve features.
• Detect, investigate, and prevent fraud, abuse, and security incidents, including manual review of buddy reports.
• Comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms.
5. Analytics and Monitoring
We use analytics and monitoring technologies to understand how the Service is used, to keep it secure and reliable, and to improve it. These technologies may collect information such as your device and browser details, IP-derived region, and how you interact with the Service. We use these tools to operate and improve WellOff. The specific tools we use may change over time; please review this Policy periodically for updates.
6. AI Features and Sub-Processors
Some features use third-party AI providers to process what you submit — for example, to transcribe your voice input, generate spoken replies during voice check-in, analyze photos you submit (food photos for nutrition information, and photos of prior paper or app logs to read prior medication and dose data), read data you import from a spreadsheet or CSV file to add it to your logs, and produce audio. We transmit to these providers only what is needed to perform the feature you requested, and solely for that purpose.
We do not retain voice recordings; the audio is discarded after transcription, and only the resulting text is kept. Food photos you submit are retained so you can review them; photos of prior logs are not retained.
These providers do not use your information to train their models. They may retain the data they receive, subject to their own terms, which govern how long and for what purposes they retain it. We do not separately retain this information beyond what is needed to provide the feature, and we do not sell it or permit these providers to use it for their own independent purposes. You can request the current list of our AI providers by contacting hello@welloff.health.
7. Cookies, Pixels, and Website Advertising Technologies
Where these technologies run. Advertising and marketing technologies described in this section operate on our websites (such as welloff.health). The WellOff application does not run third-party advertising pixels.
Consent management. We use a consent-management platform on our website. Strictly necessary cookies are required for the site to function and are used without consent. Non-essential technologies, such as analytics and advertising, load only after you opt in to the relevant category. If you do not consent, these technologies are not loaded.
Our website may use:
• Strictly necessary cookies required for the site to function. These are used without consent.
• Analytics technologies to understand site usage. These load only with your consent.
• Advertising technologies that, with your consent, support retargeting and measurement (see Section 8 for how this works and your choices).
You can change your cookie choices at any time through the consent banner on our website or through your browser settings. We also honor the Global Privacy Control (GPC) — a signal some browsers and extensions can send on your behalf — as a valid request to opt out of the “sale” or “sharing” of personal information, where applicable (see Section 9).
8. How We Share Information
We share information in the following ways:
• Service providers / processors. Companies that host, secure, support, and operate the Service on our behalf — including hosting and infrastructure, analytics and monitoring (Section 5), our AI sub-processors (Section 6), and email delivery — each acting under contract and only on our instructions.
• Other users, at your direction. Information you choose to share through the buddy system is shared with the buddy you connect with, subject to your privacy controls.
• Advertising platforms (website; see below). Subject to consent, advertising technologies on our website share online identifiers and activity with ad platforms.
• Legal and safety. When required by law or to protect the rights, safety, and security of users, the public, or WellOff.
• Business transfers. See Section 11.
8.1 Advertising; “Sale” and “Sharing”
Where you consent through our website's cookie banner, we use cookies and pixels for advertising, including to deliver ads to prior visitors of welloff.health and to measure ad performance. Through these technologies, advertising platforms receive online identifiers and information about your activity on our website. Under the California Consumer Privacy Act and similar state laws, this disclosure of personal information may constitute a “sale” or “sharing” and may involve sensitive personal information. You can withdraw consent or opt out of this “sale”/“sharing” at any time through the cookie banner or as described in Section 9.
8.2 Categories of Personal Information (CCPA)
This section summarizes the categories of personal information we collect and the purposes for which we use them, to meet California's disclosure requirements. It is a summary of the fuller descriptions elsewhere in this Policy.
Categories of personal information we collect
• Identifiers, such as your email address, account or user ID, and unique identifiers (like IP address) tied to your browser or device.
• Commercial information, such as waitlist and subscription or plan information.
• Internet or other electronic network activity, such as how you use and interact with the Service.
• Approximate geolocation, derived from your IP address (region-level), and zip code or major city you choose to provide in a buddy profile.
• Protected classification characteristics, such as gender and age, where you choose to provide them in a buddy profile.
• Audio, electronic, visual, or similar information, such as voice recordings and photos you choose to provide.
• Health information, such as the medication, symptom, and wellness information you choose to log, which may be considered sensitive under state privacy laws.
• Sensitive personal information, such as the health information you choose to log.
Business or commercial purposes for which we use your information
• Provide the Service, such as creating and authenticating your account, enabling tracking, journaling, the buddy system, and AI-assisted features.
• Communicate with you, such as waitlist updates, service and security notices, and permitted marketing.
• Improve and secure the Service, such as analyzing usage, debugging, and preventing fraud and abuse.
• Advertising, such as website retargeting and measurement, with your consent, as described in Section 8.1.
• Comply with law, such as meeting legal obligations and responding to lawful requests.
Sources and “sale”/“sharing.” We collect this information from you directly and automatically as you use the Service. As described in Section 8.1, the only activity that may be considered a “sale” or “sharing” under the CCPA is the consent-based website advertising activity — limited to website identifiers and activity, never the health information you log in the app.
9. Your Privacy Rights and Choices
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, and obtain a copy of your personal information, and to opt out of certain uses. WellOff currently serves U.S. users, and we extend the core choices below to our users.
Your choices include:
• Access, correction, and deletion. Request a copy of, correct, or delete your personal information. You can also edit or delete most content directly in the app.
• Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information. Opt out of the advertising-related “sale”/“sharing” described in Section 8.1, including via a webform and via Global Privacy Control browser signals.
• Limit the Use of My Sensitive Personal Information. Direct us to limit use of sensitive personal information to what is necessary to provide the Service.
• Withdraw consent. Where we rely on your consent (for example, optional integrations or marketing technologies), withdraw it at any time.
• Marketing emails. Opt out of promotional emails at any time using the unsubscribe link in those messages. We may still send non-promotional service messages about your account while it is active.
• Push notifications. With your permission, we send push notifications. You can disable them in your device settings.
• Non-discrimination. We will not discriminate against you for exercising your rights.
How to exercise rights. Use the “Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information” and “Limit the Use of My Sensitive Personal Information” links provided in the Service, the consent banner on our website, or email us at hello@welloff.health. You may use an authorized agent where permitted; we may ask the agent for proof of authorization and may ask you to verify your identity directly.
Verification and timing. To protect your information, we may ask you to confirm details we already have on file before we act on a request. We aim to respond to verifiable requests within 45 days. If we need more time, we will tell you within that period and may take up to an additional 45 days, as permitted by law.
Appeals. If we decline your request, you may appeal by emailing hello@welloff.health with “Privacy Appeal” in the subject line. If you have concerns about the outcome of an appeal, you may contact the attorney general in your state.
Global Privacy Control and Do Not Track. Our website does not respond to browser “Do Not Track” (DNT) signals, because there is no common standard for them. However, we honor the Global Privacy Control (GPC). If you use a browser or extension that sends a GPC signal, we treat it as a valid request to opt out of the “sale” or “sharing” of personal information for that browser, to the extent required by law.
10. Data Security and Retention
We use reasonable technical, administrative, and organizational measures designed to protect your information from loss, misuse, and unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, or destruction. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. We encourage you to use a strong, unique password and to contact us at hello@welloff.health if you suspect any unauthorized access.
Security-incident notification. If we discover a breach of security that affects your personal information, we will notify you and any regulators as required by applicable law, including applicable state breach-notification statutes. Where notice is required, we will send it to the email address associated with your account within the timeframe the law requires. If you believe your account has been compromised, contact us immediately at hello@welloff.health.
Retention. We retain your personal information for as long as your account is active, and for a reasonable period afterward as needed to provide the Service, comply with our legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. After that, we delete or de-identify your personal information. You can request deletion of your information at any time by contacting hello@welloff.health, and we will delete it within a reasonable time, subject to verification and any retention the law requires. When you delete content or your account, we delete or de-identify the associated information within a commercially reasonable period, subject to standard backup cycles and any retention the law requires.
11. Business Transfers
WellOff may, consistent with our Terms of Service, transfer information as part of a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, or sale of assets, or in contemplation of such a transaction. In that event, any acquirer or successor will be bound by the commitments in this Privacy Policy with respect to information transferred. If a successor intends to use your information in a manner materially different from this Policy, we (or the successor) will provide notice and, where required by law or by the sensitivity of the information, obtain your consent before that new use.
12. Reproductive and Menstrual Information
We give reproductive, menstrual, and pregnancy-related information you choose to log heightened protection, in light of laws including Washington's My Health My Data Act, California's Confidentiality of Medical Information Act (as amended by AB 254), and similar laws in other states.
We will never use this information for advertising or marketing, and we will never sell or share it with advertising platforms or data brokers.
We disclose reproductive, menstrual, and pregnancy-related information only in two situations: (i) as strictly necessary to provide a feature you have asked for, where any provider involved is bound by confidentiality obligations that prohibit using the information for any other purpose; or (ii) where we are legally compelled to do so by a valid court order, subpoena, or other legal process we are required to comply with.
We will not voluntarily disclose this information to law enforcement or government agencies in the absence of a court-ordered requirement, and we will notify you of any compelled disclosure to the extent we are legally permitted to do so. As a U.S. company, we remain subject to U.S. legal process.
You can edit or delete this information at any time, and you can exercise the rights described in Section 9.
13. U.S.-Only Service and Data Location
The Service is intended for users in the United States, and our hosting and infrastructure providers store and process data in the United States. We do not direct the Service to users outside the United States.
14. Third-Party Services and Links
The Service includes information about, and links to, third parties — for example, a directory of providers you can choose to contact. If you email, call, or visit the website of a provider or other third party, that interaction takes place outside WellOff and is governed by that third party's own privacy practices, not this Policy. For example, your personal email, phone, or browser may share information directly with that third party, and their website may set its own cookies.
The Service may also include embedded third-party content, such as videos. When you view embedded content, the provider of that content may collect information about you, including through cookies, under its own privacy policy. We do not control these third parties' data practices, and we encourage you to review their privacy policies.
15. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you through the Service or by email and update the “Last Updated” date above. For changes that materially expand how we use sensitive information, we will obtain your consent where required by law.
16. Contact Us
If you have questions about this Policy or your information, contact us at hello@welloff.health.
17. Governing Law
This Policy and any dispute relating to it are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to its conflict-of-laws principles, consistent with our Terms of Service. Venue lies in Alameda County, California, or the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California, as set out in the Terms of Service.
